This beautiful pavilion
offers the closest the law allows to an outside wedding.
Skilfully designed to blend into the fine, open Essex countryside
by the banks of the River Roding. There is nothing like
this in England.
Roofed with traditional peg tiles and with a timber frame, the Meadow Pavilion provides shelter for the bride and groom. Guests sit in the open field on rustic hay bales enjoying the surrounding farmland
The Meadow Pavilion is licensed for all civil ceremonies and will be available May to September.
As an added refinement, in conjunction with The Ostler Carriage Company Ltd., wedding parties may travel to the ceremony in a carriage drawn by magnificent Shire Horses. Guests can be transported to The Meadow Pavilion on beautifully decorated tractor & trailers which add to the countryside experience. Immediately after the ceremony the happy couple may enjoy a tranquil and romantic boat ride along the River Roding. |

A variety of carriages are available, seating up to 22
people, allowing the bride and groom to be accompanied
by bridesmaids or other family members.
The carriages are decorated with beautiful
floral garlands and bows, and are guided by experienced
staff in traditional country attire.
The horses themselves are immaculately
turned out with traditional accoutrements.
We regret that we are currently only
able to offer the use of The Meadow Pavilion in
conjunction with The Room in the Rodings. |
“When we came to see The Reid Rooms & The
Room in the Rodings, we asked about The Meadow Pavilion as
an afterthought. But from the very moment we rounded the corner
of the meadow, we both knew that we had found the perfect place
for our wedding.
After 3 months, many discussions with the staff at The Room in
the Rodings and a lot of planning, our big day arrived. As we
had hoped, it was a lovely day and although we had done a lot
of the planning, the staff were there to make sure everything
ran smoothly. We had hired a horse & carriage
from The Ostler Carriage Co. for the bridal party, and it was
worth every penny. The horses and carriage both looked stunning.
The Meadow Pavilion itself looked beautiful in the meadow setting
and having time on the boat together after the ceremony was really
special.
We are still having people that were there on the day tell us
how wonderful
it all was, and our photographer had the perfect backdrop to
take some great
pictures.
It really was a day to remember.
