The Room at the Rodings is the perfect venue for your special event or celebration.
With a number of large spaces inside which can easily take unto 120 seated guests and unto 200 for a buffet or party, The Room in the Rodings is the perfect place for your celebration or event.
A lounge area, furnished with antique pine furniture, cosy sofas and classic soft furnishings, provides a comfortable and relaxing retreat whilst our outdoor spaces include an attractive decked courtyard with tables, chairs and parasols for use in fine weather.
Our attractive pergola has beautiful views over the Essex countryside, providing a striking backdrop for photographs - and a memorable spot for catching up with family and friends.
You may provide your own wine and champagne for the wedding breakfast, for which there is no corkage fee or service charge, and the venue provides a fully licensed staffed bar for the evening.
The Room in the Rodings has a fully equipped kitchen and will be happy to suggest local caterers and suppliers for every aspect of your function.

Catering & Drinks
Unlike most events venues, we don’t charge corkage on drinks that you decide to provide for your celebration. So, if you want to source your own bubbles for speeches and wine for the tables, we won’t charge you extra.
Not only that, but we offer the ultimate in flexibility when it comes to catering - you won’t be limited to a selection of our own choosing - you can bring in any caterer you please to throw the wedding event that you truly want.
We can also provide a fully staffed and licensed bar for drinks if required. So, get your dancing shoes at the ready!
